I am a Philip T. Church Postdoc Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Syracuse University. My research is in the area of Applied Mathematics with main focus on Numerical Analysis/ Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)/Scientific Computing. My work reflects an interplay of rigorous mathematical analysis of PDEs, the estimate and development of numerical methods, and their applications to physics and engineering. In particular, I am interested in and have worked on the following aspacts of this field: PDEs on singular spaces, finite element methods, generalized finite element methods, multigrid methods, and mathematical models and computation in physics and in elastography of medical imaging. Related work can be found in the Research section. I obtained my B.S. in School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University, China, 2002. I graduated in 2008 with a Ph.D. in Mathematics, under the supervision of Prof. Victor Nistor and Prof. Ludmil Zikatanov at the Department of Mathematics, Penn State University.
